My hypoglycemic blood work turned out to be good. But a friend suggested i consult with a diabetes specialist, so i have an appointment on the 16th where I'll finally be able to ask the dietary questions related to steps i can take to prevent getting diabetes. I'm considered pre-diabetic and I'm not one to wait around for something to happen when there's potentially something i can do to avoid it.
Per all my recent tests everything's fine. I need to find the medium between the right diet and medication to limit my discomfort and improve my quality of life.
I really need to get back to my exercise routine as well. Since going back t work I've cut down on eating out for lunch and i need to incorporate more relaxation/wellness activities into my weekend. I'm one to always be running around doing something and i need to just chill sometimes.
I was watching top chef the other night and one of the contestants played the 'cancer card' and won the challenge. Playing the cancer card means bringing up ones illness in order to garner sympathy, or get oneself out of doing stuff.
Some of the other contestants were ticked off, but the immigrant (don't remember his name) played the 'I almost died in a boat in the middle of the ocean trying to get to America' card early in the game.
Have you played it?
I haven't but i do think that for what we go/have been through as survivors we should be allowed to play it at least once per battle. lol!!! In all of this we need to sometimes laugh at ourselves and admit that it sometimes sucks to be us, get up dust ourselves off and continue fighting and living.
